Musique! for French Language Learners

September 9-December 9, 3:30-4:30
(Fall Break Oct. 7 and Thanksgiving Break Nov. 25)

During this 12-week course participants will gain experience with basic conversational French through vocal and instrumental music and movement games guided by a bilingual instructor. This course will cover basic vocabulary and common phrases including but not limited to:
-Greetings and Introductions
-Actions
-Places
-Animals
-Numbers
-Colors
-Days of the Week
-Parts of the Body
-Musical Instruments and Terms

*5-year-old siblings may also register

Lead facilitator Sarah Elizabeth Burke, a native of South Louisiana, is setting out to help create a world where the immeasurable joys of music enhance every day life. Upon returning from studies of French culture and language in Canada and touring the United States as a professional musician, Sarah has returned to New Orleans to share here passion for music making with young learners. In addition to her regular performances in New Orleans and beyond, Ms. Burke is currently a guest artist-educator at St. George's E. S. and co-facilitates the Music Foundations Playgroup for Musicollaborative.
