The CCA Jazz Series Presents: The Nick Goumas Quintet
join The Nick Goumas Quintet of outstanding Boston area musicians: Steve Hunt on piano, Bruce Gertz on bass, Ken Cervenka on trumpet , and Jack Diefendorf on drums. Tenor and soprano saxophonist Nick Goumas is a jazz musician who has developed his own mature, imaginative, and identifying style. Nick performs with energy, feeling and musical integrity. Drawing on the " American Song Book " along with today's "Jazz Standards", The Nick Goumas Quintet's post Bebop, contemporary straight ahead style and it's display of rhythmic and harmonic sense produces some exciting jazz improvisation. Their growing audience has a mixture of musicians and jazz aficionados alike.
