East Village Mob Walking Tour
A walk through the East Village neighborhood. Now a mecca for hip bars, restaurants and the NYC rock and roll scene was once a breeding ground for some of the most powerful American Mafiosi in history and the battleground for the legendary Castellamarese war. Through the Mob's influece, the neighborhood's decline in the late-20th century turned it into a drug-fueled wasteland, the remnants of which can still be seen today.
