Causa Coming Out Party
This event will showcase Causa's LGBTQ (Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Queer) work and highlight the importance of and history behind creating alliances and conversations between the LGBTQ community and the Latino community. While Causa has always been supportive of LGBTQ issues, in this past year we have been intentional about our work for LGBTQ equality, and are moving this work forward as part of our organizational identity. This is the first time in Causa's history that we have hired an organizer to do LGBTQ alliance building work with the Latino community.
We are excited to celebrate our "Coming Out" as an organization, while recognizing the LGBTQ Latino immigrant community.
Your $15 entrance comes with a selection of Mexican appetizers by La Bonita Taqueria and Mayahuel Catering, wine, beer, or a nonalcoholic beverage and contributes to a good cause. Buy your tickets before the event, tickets bought at the door are $25!
Menu: Cactus Salad, Tinga de Pollo, Tinga de Vegetales, Black Bean Vegan Dip, Pinto Bean and Pork Dip, Salsas Caseras, Tortilla Chips
Live Latin American music will be played by Xavier y Su Banda Clasica and live jazz and Broadway music will be played by David Hastings.
