The Spirit of Bee
Join us for an engaging story dialogue with master beekeeper/educator, Debra Roberts and Larry Littlebird, Pueblo elder/storyteller and traditional farmer.  Debra and Larry will weave together an intimate conversation of indigenous "bee" stories, lessons learned from the hive and women's sacred ways in the bee yard.

For beekeepers, bee appreciators and for anyone wanting to be blessed by the "spirit of bee" for creating a more sustainably conscious world!

Proceeds from this event support bringing back the bees into the local foodshed on the lands of Hamaatsa in Spring 2012.

HAMAATSA is a Native led nonprofit learning center and demonstration farm committed to regenerative and sustainable living, spiritual wholeness and cultural restoration. Hamaatsa is located on 320 acres of aboriginal lands in the rolling foothills of the Ortiz Mountains, just south of Santa Fe.

DEBRA ROBERTS is a master beekeeper, natural beekeeping educator, speaker, mentor and writer.  She speaks on natural beekeeping, women and beekeeping, women's apiaries as some of the new sacred sites and on the subject of bees and consciousness.  She is VP of The Center for Honeybee Research, Founder of The Honeybee Project and Holy Bee Press.  Debra lives in North Carolina with her husband Joe, where they have a 15-acre farm and bee sanctuary. LARRY LITTLEBIRD is founding director of Hamaatsa and a Pueblo Indian from Laguna/Santo Domingo Pueblo.  Larry's coaching and mentoring style draws upon his multi-faceted background as a Native filmmaker/storyteller, education specialist, life coach, wilderness facilitator and his personal experience as hunter-gatherer-farmer informed by his rich Pueblo culture.  Larry is the author of "Hunting Sacred-Everything Listens", which introduces readers to a timeless story of living in correct relationship with all life.
