Learn how to make true craft cocktails from a celebrated mixologist

Want to learn modern twists on classic cocktails? How to make infusions to add flair to your drinks? Discover how to add texture to a drink?

This will be a unique experience in a unique place: The S.D. Strong Distillery, the nation's only boutique distillery located in a cave.

Your guide will be talented mixologist Arturo Vera-Felicie, the beverage director of Justus Drugstore. He has also run bar programs for The Farmhouse and Tannin Wine Bar. Arturo is an active member of the local and national bartending community, and is currently the Brand Liaison for the Kansas City chapter of the United States Bartenders' Guild (USBG).

Arturo will guide you through flavor theory, cocktail theory/design and cocktail techniques including infusions, barrel aging, flash infusions and shake versus stir.

As an added bonus, Craig Jones, the "Grill Mayor" of Food Network, will be serving up delicious mini sandwiches to accompany the beverages.

It'll be a great afternoon of fun, food, education and yes cocktails!

Directions:
Drive onto Park University Main Entrance off 9 Highway.
Veer to the right after you drive onto the campus.
At top of hill, enter into Parkville Commercial Underground cave entrance.
Drive until you reach the first stop sign. Park.
Just past the first stop sign you will see the brewing still in the window.
