Food & Folklore presents South American Wines
On Wednesday, October 12 at 6:30 PM, Eatonville Restaurant's Food & Folklore series celebrates Hispanic Heritage month with a pairing dinner featuring Latin American wines introduced by Julio Robledo and Pedro Rodriguez, co-founders of Grand Cata Wine Company. Julio, a native of Chile, is responsible for Grand Cata's wine portfolio, education, sales, and vender relations.  Julio honed his wine expertise skills while earning a Certificate in Wines & Spirit from Wine & Spirit Education Trust (London, England) and working in a wine store in Northern Virginia.  Pedro, who was born in Santa Barbara, California to Puerto Rican parents, heads the company's communications, marketing and business relations.  While working on his Masters in International Relations in Barcelona, Spain, Pedro developed a unique passion for food pairing, fine wines and Mediterranean cuisine. Pedro is also the creator of Don Pedro's Originals, a line of all natural Sangria beverages.

Grand Cata, LLC is a Latino wine consulting and marketing service company operating in the DC metropolitan area.  The company's mission is to redefine the classic wine tasting experience by adding a distinct Latino style. Founders, Julio and Pedro met while working in media development at an international non-profit. They became good friends with a business dream. Given their interest and passion for wine, food and culture, they seized the opportunity to create a unique wine experience with a Latin American touch.
