Her style draws from soulful roots and pays homage to blues, folk, rock, country and gospel. Her songs are earthy and honest, often depicting uniquely Southern realities tough economies, strong characters, heartache and joy, and wild landscapes.

Lucinda was named "America's Best Songwriter" by TIME Magazine in 2002 and is currently touring in support of her critically acclaimed release, Blessed, which has received recognition as a 2011 Album of the Year Nominee by the Americana Music Association.
