SPOUSE with Winterpills
Spouse has been compared to the Replacements, Pixies, Pavement and sometimes the Cure. But don't think of them as retro; really, they are a continuation of the style of rock that emerged when they were all learning how to be a band. They are probably the best band that you've never heard of; or if you've heard of them, the best band you've never paid enough attention to. Winterpills wallow in richly articulated melodies and carefully rendered arrangements. But despite a muted palette, the band keeps attracting light and hopeful elements.
