Tickets available at box office- online sales have ended.
Summer, a season for fun, easy times, sharing meals with people barbecues, picnics, al fresco dinner parties. Once upon a time, preparing those meals was so simple. Now, however, you have to make roughly ten alternative varieties of whatever you're serving so that you can accommodate your guests who adhere to any number of special eating regimens: gluten-free, FODMAP-free, vegetarian, vegan, paleo, low-carb, no-carb, all-carb, raw and strictly organic to name just a few.
Food sensitivities and fad diets have never been more prevalent. They make for some awkward moments when people break bread together (gluten-free, of course).
And awkward moments are what great stories are made of.
Tickets are $10 in advance via Brown Paper Tickets, and $15 at the door on the day of the event. Those interested in competing in the slam should contact Botton via email at sari@tmiproject.org
T.M.I.dol is TMI Project's popular story slam series (think TMI meets American Idol), in which readers compete by telling short, true stories from their own experiences, on a particular theme. Readers are given guidelines for creating a story, but unlike with the monologues produced for our stage shows, we do not do any work on these, nor even see the stories beforehand.
