Effective boards: roles, responsibilities, and leadership
Adequate boards cover the basics. Great boards work at being great. This workshop is for new recruits, longstanding board members, and staff who work with boards. As a new board member, maybe you're not sure what's expected of you. As a longstanding board member, you might wonder how your board could be more engaged. As a staff leader, what's your role in helping the board be at its best?
This session will provide practical tools and concrete strategies to
Clarify board roles and responsibilities Revamp board meetings so that are more engaging, productive, and fun Identify, recruit, and retain great board members Help the board evaluate its training needs and its performance

REFUND POLICIES: You can get a refund of the full face value of your event fee within 12 hours of purchase, or if the event is canceled or postponed by the event organizer. $10 of the fee is a non-refundable deposit to reserve your space. If you must cancel, you may request a refund from the event organizer, minus the deposit, up to four working days prior to the event. After this date, no refunds will be issued and the full fee will be charged. Alternatively, you can make substitutions for attendance. Please note that "No Shows" will be charged the full fee.
