Seminar: Audio Mixing with Greg Russell

Academy award nominated, re-recording mixer Greg Russell will be discussing his mixing career, from working as a young 2nd engineer to mixing his current shows "The Green Hornet" and Michael Bays "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" Greg will be covering the aspects of mixing in Dolby 7.1.

Greg mixed the music for the cartoon series Transformers with Michael Bay. In 1988 Greg went to work at Warner Hollywood, mixing Tequila Sunrise with Bob litt. Receiving his first Oscar nomination on "Black Rain: with Don Mitchell." In 1995 Greg was offered a mixing position at Sony Studios mixing with Kevin O'Connell, going on to do some of his best work with Michael Bay, "The Rock" and then onto the "Transformers" series. The move to Sony also meant the transition from music to mixing effects. Greg's latest endeavor is
moving from Sony to the new Technicolor
Digital Facility on the Paramount Studios lot.
