Meet Elizabeth and Ed Smart
Child advocates Elizabeth and Ed Smart will be at Pace Academy on October 14, as a part of Pace's Diversity Speaker Series, to join forces with Keep Georgia Safe and share with parents, educators, community leaders and students the importance of safety empowerment for children.
Elizabeth Smart, who was kidnapped at age 14 and miraculously rescued nine months later, is an ABC News commentator focusing on missing persons and child abduction cases and founder and president of the Elizabeth Smart Foundation, and her father Ed is vice president of the Elizabeth Smart Foundation and a nationally renowned spokesperson for child protection. http://elizabethsmartfoundation.org
Your $25 donation for the luncheon will benefit Keep Georgia Safe.
Both Smart and Keep Georgia Safe (www.keepgeorgiasafe.org) work to empower children through radKIDS, the revolutionary program created to teach children how to avoid and resist abduction and harm. radKIDS, has successfully trained thousands of children to avoid and escape bullying, an epidemic that causes 160,000 children a day to stay home from school, according to the U.S. Department of Education.
