Improvaganza Presents Puppet This, Dirty Laundry, and Morally Improv-erished
On Friday September 23, Improvaganza Hawaii Festival of Improv presents PUPPET THIS, DIRTY LAUNDRY, and MORALLY IMPROV-ERISHED, at the ARTS at Marks Garage. Show starts at 10:30pm. Doors Open at 10:00pm. Admission is $10.
This show is a part of the 6th Annual Improvaganza! 2011 Hawaii Festival of Improv. Improvaganza is Hawaii's only festival dedicated to improv comedy and improvised theatre.
The ARTS at Marks Garage is located at 1159 Nu'uanu Ave. on the corner of Nu'uanu and Pauahi Street in Downtown Honolulu, one block south of Beretania Street.

PUPPET THIS (Seattle)
Improvaganza welcomes back Seattle's premiere puppet improv group Puppet This and their new show THE GREAT PUPPET HAPPINESS MACHINE. For puppets, being ecstatically happy is the status quo, so what will a group of puppets do when they discover that one of their own is suddenly and shockingly sad? Therapy? Philosophy? Songs about kittens?
Luckily for them, a mad scientist, Professor Humbart Mysterio, has created a machine that will keep everyone happy for the rest of time or else. In this improvised show, the twisted minds behind popular Spin the Bottle act Puppet TV will ask you for your fears, bad days and tragedies and transform them into happiness any way they can even if that means singing about kittens.
DIRTY LAUNDRY (Seattle)
Dirty Laundry (from Wing-It Productions in Seattle, Washington) is an improvised couples therapy play that takes a comedic look at love, lust and relationships. We take a couple from the audience and thrust them into therapy to show just how close they are to making up... or breaking up. The therapy session drives the show through flashbacks, flash-forwards, and hypothetical scenarios as we explore the crazy ups and downs of love!
MORALLY IMPROV-ERISHED (Juneau)
Morally Improv-erished from Juneau Alaska was founded in 2004 to instruct, promote, and perform the art of improvisational theater in Alaska. Their show An Improbable Act incorporates page one of an unpublished, locally-written play or work-in-progress into an otherwise improvised play structure. By working with locally-based playwrights, An Improbable Act promotes local, cross-disciplinary interaction within the humanities.
