Unlike a lot of high school seniors, I knew at 17 what I was going to be when I grew up. There are advantages to being a procrastinator one is I didn't have to start doing it right away. So, at the quarter century mark (that's 25 for those of you scoring at home) I started to do stand-up comedy. It took me three years of 7 nights a week doing open mics and playing every dive on the west coast (no offense to those dives) and I got to quit my day job and be what I knew I was destined to be. The disadvantages of being a procrastinator...I started stand-up too late. The comedy boom of the late 1980's was winding down and after ten solid years in order to squeak out a living I was spending more time on the road than at home. When my first (of two) daughters was born it was time to get off the road and spend time as a dad. When I left stand-up I vowed to write and perform a one-man show. Enter the procrastinator, that daughter is now starting to drive and I finally have a show and it is... Based On A True Story
