Gary Gilson's one-man memoir-and-humor show sold out in its debut in the Twin Cities Jewish Humor Festival at the Sabes JCC back in 2013, and now it is back with great new stories added, for two nights in September!

Gary, winner of 5 Emmy Awards in New York and Los Angeles, and a veteran host of TV programs in the Twin Cities, is a masterful storyteller. He learned from the Damon Runyon characters who worked with his carny father during The Depression. His mother's family was filled with show-business people, and he worked for 30 years with many zany personalities in television journalism.
His stories, accompanied by the music of Gershwin, Berlin and Porter and by many photos, will make you laugh and cry and connect them with your own. If you had to find one word to describe what Gary is doing, it would be "authentic."
The family stories reflect the evolution of Jewish humor and what Gary describes as "the Yiddishization of America."
The Sabes JCC Theatre is one of the finest in town, as comfortable and intimate as a cabaret; every seat is superb.
