Crimes of the Heart
In Hazlehurst, Mississippi, the three Magrath sisters have gathered to await news of their grandfather, who is living out his final hours in the local hospital. Lenny, the oldest sister, is unmarried and facing diminishing marital prospects. Middle sister, Meg, who quickly outgrew Hazlehurst, is back at home after a failed singing career on the West Coast. Babe, the youngest, is out on bail after having shot her husband. Their troubles are both grave and laughable as, together, they try to escape the past and seize their future. A touching and consistently hilarious story that will linger in the mind long after the lights fade to black.
