Studio Food Photography

Time for our annual food photography class!

Ever want to learn how to style a salad for a photo so it looks like the ingredients were freshly picked from the garden? Or how about making a pie produce steam as though it was just removed from the oven and the crust is buttery, flaky, puffed? Curious how the pros direct the lighting, determine the time of day best suited to capturing the essence of the object, use unintuitive ingredients and props to prep a shoot? Join food photographer Scott Peterson and food stylist and caterer Anita Marquardt to learn how to take photos of the food you create and enjoy, without actually being a pro or having to hire a food stylist to get the job done. They will guide you through a series of dishes and ingredients using natural light to teach the basics and answer questions. Please bring a camera and come prepared to gain some insight and have some fun.

Please bring your own camera. There is no need to be fancy; a point and shoot will do just fine. Or go whole hog and bring the newest SLR. Whichever!
