Fab columnist Paul Bellini presents his one-man show, Flatus Maximus, at the Flying Beaver Pubaret.

A mix of songs and stories, Bellini uses his ten years as a columnist as the basis of his adventures, culminating in some of his subjects returning to be interviewed live. Shannon McDonough guests.

Throughout, Bellini talks about losing weight, getting fired, making a pen pal from Russia, going to a lesbian baby shower, squeezing Enza's tits, grilling Tab Hunter, having a fan tattoo his likeness on his arm, throwing a Genie party, meeting B-movie starlets, wearing a white towel, demonstrating the use of a litter box, learning how to hold a gun from a Canadian soldier, dining with food and wine critics, and flirting with a female stripper. The highlight of the show might be the first public airing of the Elaine Stritch interview from 2003, which Bellini describes as "the most nightmarish interview I ever did".

Flatus Maximus brims with laughs, gossip, useful take-away information, lots of biographical tidbits, and best of all is entirely eco-friendly. Imagine if Bruce Villanch and Michael Musto had a love child, and that child had the misfortune of living in Toronto, then you have Paul Bellini's Flatus Maximus. Which means "greatest fart", by the way.
