The James Downing Theatre 2011-2012 Season Subscription
An exciting new season is about to begin this fall at the James Downing Theatre.. You don't have to go far to find affordable family entertainment in Edison Park on Chicago's Northwest Side.
Our season includes three productions, and each subscriber receives three tickets. Under our Flex Subscription program, you can use one ticket at each show, or plan a theater outing with friends and use all three at a single show. You'll only need to contact the box office to reserve your seat(s) one week before the performance you wish to attend.

Our performances are in the John Waldron Arts Center, located in the lower level at Edison Park United Methodist Church. Free parking is available in the lot behind the church.
The new season offers something for everyone, from drama and suspense, to music and fast-paced comedy.

The inhabitants of the idyllic rural village of Merton-cum-Middlewick in 1940s England are preparing themselves for the imminent threat of Nazi invasion. Miss Skillon is convinced that her beloved vicar's wife, an actress, must be having an affair, and attempts to expose her. Add an escaped German prisoner of war, a handsome actor, a visiting bishop, a rotund priest and some meddling neighbors, and anything can happen in the delightful romp which follows.
