FREE Tour: Urban Agriculture in NYC Yesterday and Today
This is a round trip tour from Governors Island.
What is the history of Urban Agriculture in NYC and does it still have a place in our cities? Join Laurie Schoeman on Adirondack as she tours key agricultural zones and sites on the NYC Harbor and discusses the importance of Urban Agriculture in NYC to stimulate our economy, create a sustainable food system, and create a healthier and greener urban environment.
Plan to arrive at Governors Island at least 45 minutes before your tour to allow time to participate in the City of Water Day festival and make your way to Yankee Pier. Please arrive to Yankee Pier approximately 30 minutes before departure time. Tickets unclaimed 15 minutes before departure will be made available to standby passengers.
