FREE Brooklyn Waterfront Tour
This is a round trip tour from Governors Island.
Travel on board New York's historic Cornell, a tugboat that has served the Northeastern towing industry for over 50 years. Cornell serves as a window to the past to illustrate the growth and evolution of the maritime industry in New York Harbor. As you experience the workings of the tug, you will be guided around significant sites on Brooklyn's waterfront and will see the important maritime industries on New York Harbor. Come learn about the importance of the working waterfront and rediscover Brooklyn's unique coast from the water!
Plan to arrive at Governors Island at least 45 minutes before your tour to allow time to participate in the City of Water Day festival and make your way to Yankee Pier. Please arrive to Yankee Pier approximately 30 minutes before departure time. Tickets unclaimed 15 minutes before departure will be made available to standby passengers.
