I Am the Horizon
The Playground Theater is delighted to host a three-week limited engagement of Anthony Oberbeck's one-person sketch show "I Am the Horizon," Fridays at 8pm, June 24 through July 8.
In this half-hour show Anthony performs a rotating set of sketches and character monologues about failure, heartbreak, isolation, and desperate attempts to push past these. A darkly surreal night of performance by a man whose life has begun to fall apart, the whole reflection on art versus reality, and the attempt to salvage meaning out of chaotic tragedy.
I Am the Horizon, fresh off of heralded performances at SketchFest NYC and Chicago Reader-recommended, is performed alongside two Playground improv ensembles. Tickets are just $10 and our theater is BYOB for guests 21 and over.
