Open Borders is a summer-long concert series and art exhibition filling a 40,000 square foot converted Borders bookstore in Southern California.
All proceeds of this show benefit Regenerate, a nonprofit media arts organization dedicated to teen suicide prevention and amplifying voices for human rights, health, the environment, education and art.
Come by early to check out our multiple art galleries, featuring work by Ansel Adams, Edward Curtis, David Teichner and more!
There is also a giant chessboard. And a space carpet.

Hip-Hop fusion at its finest, The Grouch and Eligh, both of Living Legends, crossbreed genres while meshing together their signature lyrical fluidity.
The Grouch has been at the forefront of the west coast's independent rap movement for over a decade. Outside the Legends, The Grouch has released 7 solo efforts including F--- the Dumb (2000), Crusader for Justice (2003) and No More Greener Grasses (2004), and Heroes in the City of Dope (2006) with Bay Area stalwarts Zion I, among others.
Eligh, who produced much of Say G&E!, Grouch and Eligh's collaborative LP, met Scarub and Murs in the early 90s and formed a group called 3 Meloncholy Gypsy's (3MG). Eventually, Eligh moved up to the Bay Area, where Living Legends formed and he met The Grouch.
When he wasn't watching Yo MTV Raps or Pump It up, Scarub, like many other L.A. hip-hop heads, grew up listening to the all hip-hop radio station KDAY. Scarub first hit the stage during an 8th grade talent show and he hasn't looked back since. As a student at L.A.'s Hamilton High, Scarub hooked up with fellow students Eligh and Murs and the trio formed the 3 Meloncholy Gypsy's or 3MG. Scarub, like the rest of 3MG, eventually made the move up to the bay area where he hooked up with Mystik Journeymen and was put down with the Living Legends crew.
