FATHER, SON & HOLY COACH

FATHER, SON & HOLY COACH is a solo performance originally written and performed by Los Angeles actor John Posey (HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER, TEEN WOLF). It held its world premiere at The Santa Monica Playhouse in 1993. It subsequently was staged at The Court Theatre in L.A., prior to a national tour that included Denver, Austin, Aspen, New London, Waco, Atlanta, Melbourne, FL. and East Lansing.

FATHER, SON & HOLY COACH, a 90 minute COMEDY set in Georgia, is the story of ED SANFORD, who seems to want a do-over in life and decides he will do so vicariously through his son Johnny, who isn't so sure he wants to be along on this ride. The film rights were sold to SONY Pictures.

This run will be produced by TYLER POSEY, star of the global hit TV series TEEN WOLF, and the oldest son of John Posey.

John and Tyler Posey are making plans to turn this piece into an eventual two-man production. This run will precede that one.

FATHER, SON & HOLY COACH will open on July 23 at the WHITEFIRE THEATRE in Los Angeles, (Sherman Oaks) then run a FRIDAY NIGHTS (8PM) and SUNDAY matinee (3PM) schedule only through August 30, with possible extension to follow.

John Posey has compiled a long list of television, film and theatrical credits that range from SEINFELD to 24 to FROM THE EARTH TO THE MOON to MANHUNTER and many other. He is also an accomplished voice over actor and a produced screenwriter.

Tyler Posey, 23, has been a working actor since the age of eight. At age 10, starred opposite Jennifer Lope in MAID IN MANHATTAN. Prior to that he starred in COLLATERAL DAMAGE, followed by several more starring roles in TV and film before landing the coveted role of Scott McCall in the TEEN WOLF SERIES. This is his first theatrical production IN A PRODUCER ROLE.

MICHAEL LASKIN will direct. Michael is a long time Los Angeles based actor who has also built a substantial 30 YEAR list of TV and film credits. He is also an accomplished acting coach who has just published his first book, THE AUTHENTIC ACTOR.
