Museum School Inaugural Golf Tournament
Join us for an outstanding day of golf at the beautiful Eastlake Country Club on Friday, October 7th.
The Friends of the Museum School Foundation is a volunteer fundraising organization dedicated to supporting the Museum School's facilities and innovative curriculum by encouraging 100% participation of Museum School families, creating partnerships with the San Diego's business and philanthropic communities and promoting the Museum School in the San Diego community.
Frequently Asked Questions: 1. What time does the tournament begin? Check in at 11:00am Shotgun start at 1:00pm.
2. What is the price per player? $125.00/single and $500.00/foursome.
3. How do I become a tournament sponsor? Please contact Tim Lawrence at museumschoolgolf@gmail.com.
4. What is a "SUPERTICKET"? A $30.00 "SUPERTICKET" includes: 2 mulligans, 1 "Ten Buck Duck", putting, chipping and longest drive contest.
5. What is a "Ten Buck Duck"? After the tournament, numbered rubber ducks will race across the lake near the number 9 hole. Owner of the winning duck will receive a fabulous prize.
6. Can I purchase a 'Ten Buck Duck" if I don't play? Yes - You may purchase your ducks here or at the school office. Winner need not be present.
7. What time should I arrive? Arrive early to allow time for registration, chipping and putting contests.
8. How will the tournament be scored? Combined score of foursome (four person scramble).
9. What is a four person scramble? In a scramble, each player tees off on each hole. The best of the tee shots is selected and all players play their second shot from that spot. The better of the second shots is determined, and then all play their third shots from that spot, and so on until the ball is holed.
10. What if I am not a good player? That's ok! This is a fun tournament with a four person scramble format.
11. Do I need to list my foursome? Yes - please provide each name and email address so that we may contact all with tournament updates.
12. Are there awards? Yes. Low Gross, Second Low Gross, Third Low Gross and Dead A** Last.
13. When will the chipping and putting contests be held? They will be held between 11:00am and 12:30pm.
14. What time is the dinner/awards banquet? Immediately following the conclusion of the tournament. Approx. 6:00pm.
15. May I purchase a "Dinner Only" ticket for my friend? Yes. Dinner Only tickets are $35.00 each.
16. Does the event include lunch and dinner? Yes lunch and dinner are provided to all golfers. 17. Is there a dress code? Yes slacks or dress shorts with collared shirts. No denim.
18. What if it rains? We will play rain or shine.
19. Are there refunds? Refunds will not be given, but you may provide a substitute player.
