Break the Silence, Break the Stigma: September 15th, 7:30pm at Artists Repertory Theater
Mental health issues affect us all in one way or another, yet the shame and stigma surrounding mental illness keeps many of us silent. Break the Silence, Break the Stigma uses the power of theater combined with real people's stories to lift the veil surrounding mental illness and start a dialogue toward healing.
Portland Playback Theater, (www.playbacktheaterpdx.com), in collaboration with NAMI Multnomah and Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare, brings true stories of struggle and triumph to the stage for one night only. After these powerful performances, audience members will have an opportunity to dialogue with community members working in the field of mental health.
All proceeds from this one-time performance benefit local mental health organizations.
