Stepping Across The Atlantic
Gaelic song, music and dance from Scotland and the diaspora, brought together in a dynamic ensemble showcasing the rhythmical links between puirt-à-beul (Gaelic mouth music) and step dance. Dancers Sophie Stephenson and Màiri Britton are joined by Mòd Gold Medallist Eilidh Munro (clàrsach/vocals) and Robbie Greig (fiddle/guitar). From haunting lullabies to vigorous, upbeat jigs and reels energised by percussive foot rhythms, the performers of Huradal will take you on a journey across the Atlantic from the Scottish Highlands to Nova Scotia and the New World.
