"Army of Shadows": Berks Movie Madness Film Festival
Saturday, October 13. Film begins at 8 p.m. $7 admission. In this war drama set during the French Resistance of WW II, a courageous fighter escapes Gestapo headquarters and returns to Marseille. There he and his group engage in a series of attacks on Nazi occupiers. The screenplay is based on Joseph Kessel's novel and became filmmakers Jean-Pierre Melville's magnum opus.
