WomenSing: Stepping Westward
A concert of dreams and determination tenderness and illumination.
At the center of our program is featured composer Libby Larsen's <em>Stepping Westward with oboe, handbells, and marimba, celebrating the resourcefulness and strength of women. We include music drawn from our folk history we'll step lively with a fiddle! There will be a set of unexpected miniature love songs.
Joining us is the Acalanes High School Bella Voce and Miramonte High School Women's Ensemble unveiling our third-year Youth Inspiring Youth premieres, A Precious Pearl by Lauren McLaren and Moon Songs by Nick Norton. Come a half hour early to hear our composers at the pre-concert talk.
