No Enlightened People Have Ever Come out of the Ghetto- Shelton Theater June 2,
When I was in Catholic School, Sister Mary Ellen said, "No enlightened people have ever come out of the ghetto, Andre." So I'm putting on a one-man play to prove that she may have been right. This performance is a loving, irreverent look back at my life, loves, religion, spirituality, and the everyday moments that showed me, as Rumi called it, my "secret way of being with the Mystery."
I invite you to revisit these moments with me, not just to witness my life, but to see how your life reveals the Mystery in you. Join me as we laugh, cry, dance, and celebrate life.
