Barking Beauty Pageant, NYC 2011
The Barking Beauty Pageant continues for its fifth year in New York City on Sunday, June 5, 2011 from 4-6pm at Richmond Shepard Theatre. With ActiveWear, GlamourWear, and Talent competitions, participating pooches will vie for a grand prize package that includes a fashion photo shoot from New York photographer Jo Lance. Category winners and overall runners-up will receive top prizes including gift certificates, designer apparel, and personalized pet paintings. Leslie Hughes, star of DoggieMomshost of the American Miss National Pageant, will MC the event along with her Yorkshire Terrier, SalliSue. Ms. Hughes and SalliSue, decked out in matching outfits, will be joined by industry judges to name this year's winner. The Barking Beauty Pageant benefits a local animal awareness organization, in a truly distinctive way.
