Footloose presents as part of the AIM: Artists in Motion residency series, choreographer, Katharine Hawthorne in her first full evening of work in San Francisco. Hawthorne's work draws from her background as a trained physics research scientist and fuses technology such as sensors, radio, moving light, and film, with performance. She will be showing three works choreographed over the last three years: Living Line, Sferic, and Lumen. Hailed as "entrancing" and "conceptually strong" by the Stanford Daily, Hawthorne's work addresses the intersection of science and art practice. HERE marks her arrival in San Francisco.
