Healthcare Brown Bag Round Table
Code requirements for special seismic certification of mechanical and electrical systems have been in building codes for years. However, OSHPD has led the charge in the enforcement and interpretation of these code provisions. As the building industry has learned more and more regarding seismic certification, code interpretations have continually developed with these lessons learned. General principles for certification are better understood, but there is still more to learn and consider when properly applying certified systems ensuring the installations are compliant with actual certification limitations. This presentation is focused on providing a review of current state of practice in addition to considerations for proper application.
