"Ladies as Fellows: A Panel of Women Discuss Getting an 'F' in Architecture"

FILM: "A Girl Is A Fellow Here" ~ 100 Women Architects in the Studio of Frank Lloyd Wright is a 15-minute film produced by the Beverly Willis Architecture Foundation.

FAIA PANEL: The post-film panel will feature two women who have already been elevated to Fellowship, plus one real fella (AIA San Diego's most recently successful FAIA candidate). Hear from AIA San Diego's Alison Whitelaw, FAIA and AIA Los Angeles' Roberta Jorgensen, FAIA. They'll share what prompted them to pursue Fellowship, their journey and submittal process, and what they know now that they wish they knew then. This is a great opportunity for emerging professionals to glean key info that can prepare them for this achievement them down the road.

GOOD DEED tidbit: Not to be missed, the evening also includes a five-minute presentation about Voices for Children CASAs (Court Appointed Special Advocates) for foster children here in San Diego. The DesignDIVAs have invited a special guest to share a heart-felt story hear how ordinary volunteers help and support San Diego foster children through the family court system. Maybe you'll be inspired to be a CASA?
