"Turnip the Beet" a community food event
"Turnip the Beet" is this year's theme for the 4th annual Field to Food Event. SC, Inc. a NM nonprofit committed to sustainable communities for senior care sponsors the Field to Food program which distributes fresh produce, in season, to home bound elders. The five course gourmet meal with wine is set under the stars in the Community Park at the Center for Ageless Living. All the ingredients for the meal are from local food producers from within 100 mile radius of the Center. This year's proceeds from this event are helping to develop a certified organic garden that will provide the produce for the Field to Food distribution program.
