Lost Goddess is an intoxicating one-woman performance that tells the story of Persephone's journey through the mysterious and magical Underworld. It will be performed by award-winning New York-based dance and theatre artist Laura Careless in a one-time-only Saint Louis appearance. Lost Goddess St Louis will take place on Thursday June 25 at 8pm, at the historic Gaslight Theatre, located at 360 North Boyle Avenue in the Central West End. The performance is just under one hour with no intermission.
Laura Carelesss is a UK-born, New York-based performing artist whose unique performance career has established her as "A marvelously sensual dramatic dancer" (New York Times), and "Consistently one of the most interesting and dramatically detailed dancers on New York's stages" (Broadway World). She is a founding member and Principal Performer of New York's Drama Desk-nominated Company XIV. She received her training at The Royal Ballet School, London, and The Juilliard School Dance Division.
