Shared Learning Event with the Asset Building Coalition
To government, non-profit service providers, faith community members and others working to improve the lives of the people of Thurston County: We welcome you to a Shared Learning event on May 25, 2011 to explore how asset building is being interwoven throughout our community. This event is sponsored by the Steering Committee of the Thurston Asset Building Coalition which includes leaders from business, social services agencies, and faith communities who are committed to offering people with low incomes tools to help them improve their quality of life and build their financial assets. Our Coalition has broad community membership that facilitates coordination among housing, health, food, financial education, and income support providers.
We invite you to join us for lunch and engage in this important conversation about our challenges and our strategies for success.
This event will:
Introduce you to the Thurston County Asset Building network. You will learn who we are, and how we can all help bring a more integrated approach to community problem solving.
Offer you the opportunity to identify the most compelling issues you face in your work, and learn from others about resources that might help.
Have fun and connect with your peers in a supportive setting.
Our goal for this luncheon is that we all leave energized, having learned about ways we can work together in the Thurston County area.
The lunch is scheduled from 11:15am to 1:00pm on May 25. There is no cost for this event due to the support of Olympia Federal Savings and OBEE Credit Union, but we do ask that you register before by May 20.
