Connecting with LPD and Your Neighborhood Online
The Lafayette Police Department is providing free training to the public on Connecting with LPD and Your Neighborhood Online. The date and time for this training will be Thursday, July 16th, at 5:30pm. The training will take place at the Lafayette Police Training Center, 1301 South St, and will be presented by Lt. Brian Gossard, currently assigned to Community Outreach and Crime Prevention.
This training will focus on how citizens can stay abreast of what the Lafayette Police Department is involved in, how they can connect with their neighborhoods to better protect themselves and their neighbors against criminal activity, and an overview of LPD's social media outlets, including Nextdoor, Nixle, Twitter, Instagram and Youtube. We know strong neighborhoods make a strong community and using social media sites like Nextdoor can only help in making citizens more informed and aware of events or incidents in their respective neighborhoods.
Seating is limited to 40 people.
