LEG SWELLING & ULCERATION: Much more about gravity than heart failure
Lower extremity venous hypertension, or leg swelling, is an often underdiagnosed condition causing complications like clots, ulcers, pain and chronic life-threatening infections. While common among those who are obese, pregnant or have a family history, localized swelling may also be due to an expansion of body fluid in legs due to the effect of gravity. At this seminar Dr. Albaugh will present:
- What causes leg swelling and ulcers. - Why legs swell during the day. - Leg ulcers and difficult wound diagnosis. - Treatment and procedure options available. ___________________________________________________________
