Fighting Mac!
Theatre Rhinoceros presents Fighting Mac!, the amazing true story of Hector MacDonald, Englandâs greatest general who was also queer. Fighting Mac, who fought in the 1890s in Afghanistan and Africa, is the subject of this play that juxtaposes his life with that of a young American who fights in Afghanistan in 2010. As the repeal of âDonât Ask, Donât Tellâ becomes a reality a young man named Jesse discovers that life for gay men is not as simple as he had hoped as Fighting Mac finds in his own time that a gay man can survive persecution and thrive in an era of oppression.
