A gritty drama starring Boardwalk Empires Vincent Piazza, Reuben is the wayward son of an Orthodox Jewish family who struggles against the underbelly of Chicago life. He works nights as a DJ at a local strip club and sells drugs with smalltime gangsters. Reuben freelances at his uncles (Judd Hirsch) jewelry shop, but dreams of making it big as a nightclub DJ. In a world of sex and violence, he encounters Ebony, a troubled young girl. When his Orthodox cousin, Moises, (Dov Tiefenbach) arrives he causes Reuben to question his own actions and beliefs as obligations of family, greed, and faith conspire against him.
