Herbal Medicine Making
Growing, harvesting and making medicines for yourself, your family and your community can be easy and fun.

This course is designed for the beginner and is offered in three parts (Spring, Summer and Fall), with a focus on plants of the season and on making different types of medicine. The classes can be taken individually or as a single unit.

DATES FOR CLASSES:
* Saturday, May 14th, 10am-2pm
* Saturday, July 9th, 10am-2pm
* Saturday, August 20th, 10am-2pm

The Spring course will cover nettles, plantain, and other spring herbs, plus seeds and starts to plant in your herb garden and the creation of herbal teas, infusions and oils. In July's class we'll harvest St. John's Wort--and other herbs in season-- make tinctures and oils, pick edible salad flowers and make a simple skin salve. The Fall class will cover medicinal berries and remedies to carry us through winter colds and flu, including tinctures, cordials, lotions and healing soups.

Each class will cover herbs to grow in the garden and collect in the wild, and how to use these herbs to create medicines for yourself and your family.

You'll take home a selection of herbs to plant in your garden or dry for tea. You'll also take home tinctures, oils, salves or cordial that we have made together in class that you can use to keep yourself and your family healthy.

To Bring:
* Bagged Lunch & Snacks for yourself :)
* Notebook and pen for notes
* Basket for collecting herbs
* Small jars (pint size and smaller)
* Gloves
