Circus Contraption

Circus Contraption, Seattleâs premiere one-ring traveling circus, will delight its San Francisco fans and friends with a rare 4 day run at CellSpace this July. The troupe, acclaimed by press and audiences alike since 1998, will unveil a few of the freshest fruits of their collective creativity as well as proffering a potpourri of presentations proven popular in the past. Itâs a rare summer treat not to be missed!

Circus Contraption is a collective of multi-talented artists mixing traditional circus skills such as aerial performance, acrobatics, and juggling with physical comedy and live original music, inter- twined to achieve a distinctive vaudevillian style. Their amazing circus orchestra, known for its darkly carnivalesque musical renderings on three CDs, has its own fans the world over. Their most recent full-circus show, âGrand American Traveling Dime Museum,â was a smash hit three years running in Seattle, San Francisco (2004) and New York City (2005 & 2006). Circus Contraptionâs effect on the audience-- rousing, mesmerizing, and frequently unsettlingâcreates a deliciously unforgettable live experience.
