V-DAY 2011: A MEMORY, A MONOLOGUE, A RANT AND A PRAYER
V-Day is a global activist movement to stop violence against women and girls. "A MEMORY, A RANT..." is commissioned and edited by Eve Ensler (author of THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES). It features writing by: Edward Albee, Maya Angelou, Alice Walker, Anna Deveare Smith, Nicholas Kristof, and many others. Readers: Mary Ewald, Rose Cano, Kimberly White, Amber Flame, and others. All proceeds will go to New Beginnings, who's mission is to provide shelter, advocacy and support for battered women and their children and to change attitudes and social institutions that foster and perpetuate violence.
