Table Manners
Table Manners is the first in Ayckbourn's trilogy The Norman Conquests, but each play stands on its own. Ayckbourn has a sharp eye for the dysfunctional family putting themselves into inescapably hilarious situations.
In this case, Norman has arranged for a potentially romantic weekend off alone with his unmarried sister-in-law, Annie. But plans fall totally apart when the rest of the family, including Norman's wife and Annie's gentleman friend, descend on Annie's home.
