June 11th: Kick Off Dinner at Edgemere Farm!
Ok, so June did not start off the way we expected. The rain was a bit much and this unseasonal chill doesn't exactly scream beach weather, BUT we've got news to cheer you up... Our Thursday dinners are back!
For those first-timers out there, our laid back, family friendly dinners are the perfect way to jumpstart your beach weekend. For three out of four Thursdays a month, we gather at the farm to unwind and dine with a different neighborhood chef each night. Not to mention, you'll be feasting on a specially-crafted menu that features the freshest vegetables on the Rockaway peninsula.
This Thursday, June 11th we welcome back chef-extraordinaire and farm friend, Claudette Flatow. The owner and operator behind Beach 116th Street's Cuisine by Claudette will kick off our summer dinner series with her signature and unbeatable French cooking. We hope to see you there!
BYO-PLATE
To minimize the waste our farm produces, we ask you to bring to the farm your own plate to eat off of. We hope you'll help us form a beautiful medley of plateware, starting with one of your favorite (and reusable!) dishes. We'll even wash it off for you at the end of the night.
