By popular demand, Story League returns to Busboys and Poets for one of our famous funny-story contests!
This is a TRUE OPEN MIC! All are welcome to submit their name on-site to tell a 5-minute true funny story. No judges: Audience picks the only winner (funniest story) of the night, who receives $100 and is guaranteed a spot in our next $500 Championship at Black Cat DC or DC Improv! We will hear 10 randomly selected stories. NO THEME, just be funny.
This special one-time contest event is expected to sell out well in advance of the night.
Doors will open at 7:30 PM. No cash tickets will be sold at the event pre-sale only. Busboys and Poets Brookland is 1.5 blocks from Brookland;CUA Metro Station (Red Line) at 625 Monroe Street NE, across the street from the main CUA entrance. There is also a large parking garage in the same building as the restaurant. Table service, with full menu and drinks, is available in the Pearl Bailey Room during the event.
