BBG in Blankland
Thursday, August 20, 2015
8pm in the Muriel Schulman Theater

(Enter on Banker Street)
Triskelion Arts is pleased to present BBG In Blankland, a new work by BOOM BAT GESTURE Performance Group, for one night only on August 20, 2015. Looking back on programs and media that delighted the company as children, they have created a world perhaps more disturbing than they first imagined.
Join BOOM BAT GESTURE on an adventure through Blankland, a fantastical world inhabited by strange and deranged creatures. In Blankland, the sun is always shining and the blood is always dripping, so grab your plastic sheets and strap on your goulashes for a wade through the Gory Marshes. Sing songs with Stab and Blank, learn about all of the things you can do with your body, and enjoy a cuppa with the Pippy Butts. You might even get a visit from one the Seniors! The fun never ends when death is around every corner. Like the old song says, "All you need is blood!"
ABOUT THE COMPANY
BOOM BAT GESTURE Performance Group is a collaborative ensemble creating original works in dance and theater. Lead by Jon Burklund, Anastasia Clarke, Ilana Stuelpner, and Niko Tsocanos, BBG has developed and produced seven original pieces since their initial collaborations at Bennington College in 2010. Works include Cthulhu's House of Z (2012), ZOOM Thousand Time (2013), and LMFAOROTFCOL (2015). Their ongoing, episodic performance, SCREEN EYED BABY ICE, has been presented in 10 iterations throughout Brooklyn and Manhattan since 2012. In 2014, BBG produced the Screen Eyed Baby Ice Performance Series, a traveling variety show that featured SEBI alongside more than 25 guest artists working in music, dance, theater, film, and stand-up comedy.
This program is supported, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council.
