As we continue the Whitefire Theatre's dedication to developing original works, please join us for another round of SUMMER SHORTS, an evening of original short comedy plays from playwrights Bette Smith, Caroline Marshall, Heidi Appe, Thomas J. Misuraca, Paul Lauden, Steve Korbar, Rose Wakesho, Max Schlossberg, Tony Nunes, & Sophia Louisa. Featuring 12 plays that range from: A support group for people who have no problems; Cindarellpa's unexpected reunion with her fairy godmother; behind the scenes at the Mrs. California Pageant; a newlyweds domestic disturbance call over snoring; 2 fresh off the boat hopefuls looking for an apartment in LA; a casual date that gets flipped on it's bad back; a woman's experience as she enters the afterlife; 2 competing actresses vying for the same role as a nun; one woman decides to show her date exactly what she has to deal with from overly aggressive guys; a group of misfits stranded in the desert after they rob a store; an engaged couple prepare to meet their in-laws for the first time; & Han Solo's divorce mediation with Princess Leia. With 32 actors performing under a hilarious, rapid-fire pace, SUMMER SHORTS will remind you that gut-busting laughs can come in surprisingly small packages.
